Enable emoticon translation

If you use emoticons like :) or :/, you can have them translated into emoji equivalents like or automatically by Zulip.

Enable emoticon translations

Instructions for all platforms

Click on the gear () icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app.
Select Personal settings.
On the left, click Display settings.
Under Theme, select Convert emoticons before sending.
